From firefighter to fire chief. From mentee to mentor. From service to legacy.
I’ve spent over 30 years in the fire service, rising through the ranks of the most demanding leadership environment in the world, the United States Air Force. Along the way I’ve led departments across four continents, mentored hundreds of future leaders, and learned that leadership is about presence, purpose, and people, not the title or position held.
My Values - F.A.M.I.L.Y.
Faith.
Faith is the foundation of who I am. I believe in a higher power and understand that I am accountable for how I live, lead, and love. Faith guides my decisons, and fuels my purpose. It is the driving force behind every action I take, both seen and unseen.
Achievement.
Every day I open my eyes is an opportunity to achieve something, no matter how big or small. Whether its mowing the lawn, planning a trip, reaching out to a loved one, or pursuing major goals, what matters is progress. Achievement isn’t about perfection; it’s purposefully moving forward. Getting something done. Every day.
Making a difference.
True satisfaction doesn’t come from what we gain. It comes from what we give. I believe we can make a difference in the lives of others through simple, intentional acts, such as a kind word, a helping hand, or by using our platforms, knowledge, and expertise to uplift those around us. Impact doesn’t require a spotlight. It just requires heart.
Integrity.
Integrity means doing what’s right, even when it’s difficult, inconvenient, or unnoticed. It’s the standard I hold myself to, and the expectation I set for those around me. Integrity builds trust, shapes character, and defines leadership. It’s not just about making good choices. It’s about being someone others can count on to do what’s right, every time. It is how well we're built, inside and out.
Leadership.
You don’t need a title to lead. Leadership is about setting the example, and showing others how it’s done through your actions, attitude, and accountability. It’s about stepping up when needed, standing firm when it matters, and lifting others along the way. True leadership can’t be claimed. It’s demonstrated.
Young at heart.
We’re never too old, too wise, or too important to have fun, stay curious, or let our guard down. Being young at heart means staying open, joyful, and willing to connect, especially with the younger generation. You can’t build future leaders if you’re not approachable or in tune with what matters to the them. Staying young at heart keeps us grounded, relatable, and ready to grow.
